I was lucky enough to see one of the Black Angels first shows ever while living in Austin, TX in 2004. AMAZING!! They were a complete wall-of-sound...LITERALLY. Their sound is incredibly drug-drenched psychedelia with an almost Kraut Rock and Garage layering to their melodies. HAZY & HEAVY...Great Combination.

"Directions to See A Ghost" (2008)
"Directions to See A Ghost" is The Black Angels' Second LP and it rips! They definitely pay homage on this album to their hometown 60's Psychedelic predecessors, The Thirteenth-Floor Elevators. Which is INCREDIBLY REFRESHING! This is one of my All Time favorite albums of the last 10 years.
